Adjusting the Steering Wheel and Mirrors
You can adjust the steering wheel's height and depth by using the lever located on the lower part of the steering column—simply push it down.
To adjust the mirrors, use the button on the driver's door. For the left mirror, rotate the button until the orange "L" lights up in the upper left corner, then move the button to position the left mirror. Repeat the same process for the right mirror.
Changing Gears
All our vehicles are equipped with an automatic transmission. To change gears, press the brake pedal and rotate the gear lever (R, N, D, B) to the desired position. To engage "P," press the button located at the end of the gear lever:
P (Parking): Used when parking and turning the vehicle on or off.
R (Reverse): Used for reversing.
N (Neutral): Idle mode, useful at car washes.
B (Recuperation): Increases the strength of regenerative braking. When you release the accelerator pedal, the car brakes harder and restores more energy to the battery.
D (Drive or Forward): Used to drive forward.
Driving Modes
On the lower right of the steering wheel is the DRIVE button, which you can operate by pressing it. The selected driving mode will be displayed on the dashboard.
The Cupra Born offers five driving modes:
RANGE: Optimizes energy consumption for maximum range by limiting responsiveness and top speed to 130 km/h.
COMFORT: Provides a smooth and comfortable ride with balanced settings.
PERFORMANCE: Highlights the vehicle's sporty capabilities for dynamic driving, offering greater responsiveness.
INDIVIDUAL: Allows you to customize settings based on personal preferences.
CUPRA: Maximizes the vehicle's performance with maximum responsiveness of the accelerator pedal and steering wheel.
Speed Limiter and Adaptive Cruise Control
The speed limiter helps you maintain a maximum speed, such as 50 km/h in urban areas.
Adaptive cruise control allows you to set a desired driving speed, adjusting it according to the surrounding conditions, such as the vehicle in front of you or sharp bends in the road.
On the left side of the steering wheel, you will find a button with a vehicle inside a circle icon (above the plus icon). This button toggles between the speed limiter and the adaptive cruise control.
Use the + and - buttons to adjust the set speed limit by ±1 km/h.
Pressing the RES button saves the vehicle speed limit that you have set manually.
Pressing the SET button sets the vehicle speed limit to the recognized speed limit on the road.
Opening the Trunk
To open the trunk, press the upper part of the Cupra logo on the trunk and lift the tailgate.
Charging
To charge the vehicle, take the appropriate cable from the trunk. Open the vehicle's charging socket flap by gently pressing it. Connect one end of the cable to the vehicle and the other end to the charging station.
To stop charging, press the vehicle unlock button on the physical key. Then, unplug the cable from both the vehicle and the charging station. After charging is complete, stow the cable in the trunk and close the charging flap.
Ending the Trip
At the end of your ride, press the "P" button at the end of the gear lever. The vehicle will turn off when you exit.
If you do not wish to end the rental yet, take the vehicle key (located in the glove compartment on the passenger side) with you and lock the vehicle using the button on the key.
