We have entered the holiday week, when we will dedicate Thursday, a day off from work, to Slovenian culture. Namely, Prešeren's Day will once again offer many opportunities for cultural pleasures and activities. We are glad that we will be able to help you with this again.

Most cultural institutions and events are located in city centers, and with guaranteed parking spaces, Avant2Go can represent the simplest and most affordable mobility solution. You can find the closest locations to your cultural destination in our mobile application, and for even easier organization, we offer you a brief overview of the most interesting events in the places where we are present.

Prešeren's shift in Kranj

The spirit of our greatest poet dr. Every year, Franceta Prešerna comes to life most strongly precisely on the streets of Kranje. Prešeren shift is one of the most recognizable and traditional events during the cultural holiday.

This year, the shift on the streets of Prešeren will take place on February 8 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Part of the rich program in the spirit of the 19th century will be performances by choirs, recitations, performances by folklore groups, concerts, carriage rides, presentations of old crafts, photo booths and many other activities. You can view the entire program at this link.

The most convenient Avant2Go location for jumping into the center of Kranj will definitely be the "City Municipality of Kranj" this time.

2. Expansion across the northern border

In addition to Slovenia and Croatia, Avant2Go is now also available in Klagenfurt - the first city in Austria. The city of Klagenfurt is implementing a number of measures in the direction of carbon neutrality and improving the quality of life of its residents. Among other things, the capital of Austrian Carinthia, like Ljubljana (and as the only Austrian city), committed itself to the Mission of 100 climate-neutral cities by 2030. Thus, ensuring a widely applicable and accessible electric vehicle sharing system was one of the priorities of the local authorities.

The number of users of the system in Klagenfurt is already growing encouragingly, and the same applies to the number of vehicles and locations (the latter will soon reach twenty). To begin with, the locations are spread over many frequent points in different parts of the city, and for a hint, you can already find one of them at the Klagenfurt International Airport.
